Bike Marshal

Have a passion for cycling? Bike marshaling may be for you!

Bike Marshals act as Safety Ambassadors during the GoodLife Fitness Toronto Marathon. You are responsible for encouraging safe running/walking behaviours and should report any unsafe activity to event coordinators.

Our cycling team is broken into 5 groups, which covers the entire route!
You must bring your own bike in good condition, wear a helmet, carry a cell phone, and follow the rules of the road.

Task Details: 

Cycling Teams

  • Zone 1 - Mel Lastman Square to Rosedale Subway Station (10 KM)
  • Zone 2 - Forest Hill (7 KM)
  • Zone 3 - Rosedale Valley to Ontario Place (11 KM)
  • Zone 4 - Lake Shore (15 KM)
  • Rapid Response Team - Full Course (42.2 KM)

Each Bike Marshal must make their way to the Direct Energy Centre ("Hall C" - 100 Prince's Blvd, Toronto) either April 30th, May 1st, or May 2nd to obtain a safety vest which is to be warn as the outermost layer on the day of the event. The vests can be returned to your zone leader upon completion of your ride or brought to the Finish Line at Ontario Place.
