FAQ (for participants)
1. What time do the races start?
Marathon 7:30 AM Mel Lastman Square

5K Walk 12:00 PM Ontario Place
2. Can I register for the race at the expo?
Yes, the price includes HST

3. What time do the shuttle buses leave for the start?
6:00 AM from:
Ontario Place (Guest Services)
Marriott Hotel (Yonge St. and Wood St.)
Hilton Hotel (Richmond St. and University Ave.)
4. Can I buy a shuttle ticket at the expo?
No. Shuttle tickets must be purchased by April 21st.
5. Are there shuttles after the race?
Yes. Buses are parked on Exhibition grounds to take participants to the Courtyard Marriott, Hilton and subway. There are no shuttles going back to Mel Lastman Square. Participants can also take the TTC.
6. Is there bag check at the start?
Yes. Make sure you've checked your bag. Marathon participants MUST check their bags by 7:10AM. Half Marathon participants by 7:50 AM.
7. Are there any aid stations along the route?
Yes. Aid stations are located approximately every 3KM. Water, Gatorade, bananas, and toilets will be at specific locations.
8. Are there any massage or medical treatment services before/along/after the race?
Yes. Physiotherapists are monitoring the race. Free massage services are provided at the finish line area for Marathon and Half Marathon participants only.
9. Are there gels this year?
No. You may bring your own.
10. Can I pick up somebody else's bib and shirt?
Yes, up to 3 other participants (4 total) with email confirmation.
11. Can I volunteer on Race Day?
Yes, Please refer to volunteer opportunities.
12. Can I walk the Marathon?
No, but you may walk the Half Marathon or 5K if you registered for the walk.
13. Does everyone get a medal?
All participants who cross the finish line will get a finishers medal.
14. How do I get to Mel Lastman Square?
Subway service does not start until 9:00 AM on Sunday, but TTC surface routes are available. You may also drive, carpool, get a ride, or take a taxi. MLS is on the west side of Yonge St. between Sheppard and Finch.
15. What happens if I throw my running gear as I run?
The Goodwill truck will be following the race route picking up any discarded clothing. They will also accept any clothing donations which will help your local community. Unfortunately you cannot get your clothes back once you discard it.
16. What time should I arrive?
All participants should arrive at least 45 minutes before their event.
17. Where can I park at the Starting Line?
There is street parking near Mel Lastman Square, but remember the time for road closures.
18. Where is the 5K start and finish?
The 5K starts on Remembrance Dr. at Ontario Place and ends in the finish area at Ontario Place.
